Saint John Cycling is a volunteer based non-profit profit organization established in 2014, focused on recreational cycling in the Greater Saint John Area, New Brunswick, Canada. SJC organizes and hosts social club rides, (mountain bike and road cycling), meetings, and fundraising events every year. Our club promotes all forms of cycling, trail building/ maintenance, sustainable trail access and improved road infrastructure and legislation.

Our primary focus in Saint John is Rockwood Park. It is the biggest inner city nature park in Canada at 10 square kilometers, featuring 45km+ of wilderness trails. Our club averages 1500 volunteer hours of maintenance every year, and has fundraised over $400, 000 in trail infrastructure projects in Rockwood over the past 12 years of operation. That include multi-use single track, mountain bike specific gravity trails and a beginner mtb skills park area.

SJC has promoted safe street design in our city, including protected bike lanes, and successfully advocated for the provincial government to enact Ellen’s Law. The club is now beginning to offer intergenerational mountain bike coaching services in Saint John and surrounding communities.
